Professional Background
I am a healthcare leader with more than 15 years of experience in patient access and healthcare financial operations. I currently serve as Vice President of Patient Access at Avera Health. Throughout my career, I have progressed through roles including Insurance Specialist, Supervisor, Patient Access Manager, and Patient Access Director before moving into my current leadership position.
My professional focus is patient-centric, data-driven, and results-oriented leadership. I am particularly passionate about improving the financial experience for patients and developing processes that help healthcare organizations operate more effectively.
Education and Professional Development
I studied Business Administration, Management and Operations at Black Hills State University and continue to expand my knowledge through additional coursework and professional development. I also hold the Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) credential through the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
Interest in Digital Marketing
Digital marketing offers another way to understand audiences, communicate effectively, use data to make better decisions, and measure engagement. Through this Digital Marketing course, I am developing practical knowledge of content marketing, search engine optimization, social media strategy, analytics, and the use of artificial intelligence in marketing.
I am interested in how these skills can complement my experience in healthcare leadership, particularly as organizations increasingly use digital communication, analytics, and technology to improve the experiences of the people they serve.
